Biography
Mrs. Shavonne Arthurs joins the full-time faculty at Saint Francis University after teaching as an adjunct during the spring semester of 2015. She has taught courses in psychology, statistics, criminology and criminal justice.Along with her current faculty assignment at Saint Francis, Mrs. Arthurs is a teaching associate at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, concentrating on areas of law and social control. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Prison Society, Northeastern Association of Criminal Justice Sciences, the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and the American Society of Criminology.
Research Interest
Mainly her interest involves studying predictors of prescription drug misuse and abuse among college students. Other research interests include alcohol use and abuse, teaching excellence strategies, and jury decision-making.
