Byron Chesbro

Biography

 Byron Chesbro, M.D., is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He has been in private practice in El Paso since 1981. He has served as medical director of oncology services at Sierra Hospital and as chief of staff at Providence Hospital. He is a past president of the El Paso Metro Unit of the American Cancer Society and a founding member of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Chesbro presently serves on the Quality Oversight Committee of Texas Oncology and as co-chair of the Western Regional Oncology conference which is held in El Paso yearly.Dr. Chesbro received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center. He completed internship and residency at the Medical College of Ohio and completed his oncology training as a clinical associate at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.Dr. Chesbro is married and has children. He is a licensed private pilot and enjoys travel, reading and spending time with family and friends.
