Biography
Dr. Mark C. DeLeon is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. Dr. DeLeon served for 13 years as a physician in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, Dr. DeLeon served as a staff physician and department chair in Hematology-Oncology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.He reached the rank of Lt. Colonel, and gained valuable practice experience treating numerous patients with many varieties of cancer and blood disorders.Dr. DeLeon also participated in numerous areas of clinical research as an investigator with Southwest Oncology Group, the Prostate Cancer Prevention Study and the Drug Development Program at Brooke Army Medical Center. He received his Fellowship at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium, San Antonio, TX and Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX. He completed his Internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX and Medical Doctorate at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD.
