Biography

Mr. Jean-Luc Belingard has been the Chairman of bioMérieux SA since December 31, 2010 and its Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 2011. Mr. Belingard served as the President Director General of bioMérieux SA. He served as President of Ipsen S.A. He is a Foreign Trade Advisor to the French government. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ipsen S.A. from January 2, 2002 to November 22, 2010. He served as Vice-President of Pierre Fabre Group and Pierre Fabre S.A. He has spent the past 28 years in the pharmaceutical industry working with Merck & Co and Roche, where he served as Head of the Diagnostics division. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Pierre Fabre. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of bioMérieux-Pierre Fabre Group from 1999 to 2001, where his responsibilities included the management of worldwide pharmaceutical and cosmetic business. He served as a Member of the Executive Board of BioMérieux-Pierre Fabre from 1999 to 2001. He joined F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd., Basel, Switzerland, a subsidiary of Roche in 1982 where he held various positions, including Director General of the Diagnostics Division from 1990 to 1998. He serves as the Chairman of bioMérieux, Inc. at Argene SA. He served as the Chairman at Ipsen S.A. (Beaufour Ipsen SA) from January 2, 2002 to November 22, 2010. He served as Vice Chairman of Pierre Fabre since 1999. He serves as Director of Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale. He has been an Independent Director at Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings since April 28, 1995. He has been a Director of Transgene SA since June 19, 2013. Mr. Belingard graduated from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), a leading French business school, in 1971 and was awarded an M.B.A. degree from Cornell University (United States) in 1974.
