Biography
Thierry Pelaccia in an emergency physician. He is the deputy chief of service of the Emergency Prehospital Emergency Care Service (SAMU 67). He is especially in charge of coordinating academic tasks and pre- and postgraduate students' training.Thierry Pelaccia owns a Ph.D. in education (he graduated from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada, and from the University of Strasbourg, France) and a master in laboratory. He is the Director of the Center for Training and Research in Health Sciences Education (CFR-PS), Faculty of Medicine, University of Strasbourg, whose main field of research deals with clinical reasoning. He has a special interest in decision-making in emergency medicine, especially through the study of interactions among the different actors (the physician, the other health professional and the patient) of the emergency situations.Thierry Pelaccia coordinators in the CFR-PS the initial and continuing training of health sciences teachers, as part of a master's degree in health sciences education, an inter-university degree in medical education and a university degree in simulation in healthcare. He also teaches emergency medicine in several places and degrees.
