Biography
Dr. Cara Tannenbaum, MD, MSc, is a geriatrician and health promotion researcher at the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal (IUGM). She is also the holder of the Michel-Saucier Pharmaceutical Chair in Health and Aging, and is a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal.Dr. Tannenbaum has received numerous national and international awards, including outstanding research in geriatrics, women's health and gender. She received the May-Cohen Award for Gender Equity in Improving Gender Equity in University Medicine in Canada, the Betty-Haven Award for Knowledge Translation in the Field of Aging CIHR, as well as prizes from the North American Menopause Society, the American Geriatrics Society, and the International Continence Society.
Research Interest
Dr. Cara Tannenbaum, MD, MSc, focuses on optimizing pharmacogeriatric care, brain-bladder linkages, mental health indicators, and gender analysis. His approach aims to combat ageism, especially when it comes to urinary incontinence, cognitive impairment, mental health and non-appropriate medications.
