Biography
Born in Colmar, France in 1962. I received the Ph.D. degree in 1990 from the University of Franche-Comté, France. After a three year position as a Research Engineer in Electron Microscopy at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine of Besancon I held an Assistant Professor in Physical Chemistry at the University of Franche-Comté in 1993. In 2002, I was designated Director of the Laboratory of Microanalyses Nucleaires-Alain Chambaudet of the same university. In 2003, I became Professor at the University of Franche-Comté in Physical Chemistry and in the same year the laboratory became a Mix Unit of the French Atomic Agency (CEA). Today, this unit is integrated into the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS); Chrono-Environment, UMR 6249. My current research interests are linked with the Nuclear Track Structure and Radiobiology. Since 1998 I am the secretary of the Internationnal Nuclear Track Society (INTS).
Research Interest
Mainly intrested in Radiation chemistry, nuclear traces in solids, low doses, effects of low energy electrons (1-10 eV) on DNA, bystander effect in cell irradiation, environment.
