Biography
Dr. Landsittel is the Director of the Expanding National Capacity in PCOR through Training (ENACT) Program. ENACT is an AHRQ-funded program in partnership with the universities of Hawaii and Puerto Rico, Howard and Charles Drew universities, Meharry Medical College, and Morehouse School of Medicine. This program seeks to further develop infrastructure and expertise in patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) at Minority-Serving Institutions. The ENACT Program includes two online courses on writing a PCOR concept proposal and a full application, and an experiential program, where Fellows train on-site in Pittsburgh for one month of the year. Dr. Landsittel also teaches the Publication and Presentation in Biomedical Informatics course and co-teaches a course in comparative effectiveness research (CER) in the Institute for Clinical Research Education (where he was previously the CER Track Director) and formerly taught in the Computational Mathematics Graduate Program at Duquesne University and the Graduate School of Public Health at Pittsburgh, were he still advises MS students and serves on the MS/MPH Program Committee. He is also a faculty member of the Biomedical Informatics Core Training Program, and is the Chair of the University Senate Educational Policies Committee.
