Biography
After completing his studies at the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles (Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielle), Fabrice Chemla completed his thesis at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and obtained a doctorate from UPMC in 1992. He was recruited at UPMC in 1994, and in 2002 he was appointed professor of chemistry. Its research activities focus on the reactivity of new organometallic species for the synthesis of biologically active compounds. He taught organic and organometallic chemistry to undergraduate and master students at UPMC. He was in charge of the organic and bioorganic chemistry specialty of the UPMC chemistry master. Fabrice Chemla was elected a member of the Council of Studies and University Life (CEVU) between 2008 and 2016 and held the position of Head of the Executive Board from 2009 to 2012. He was vice-president of initial and continuing training of UPMC from 2012 to 2016.
