Biography
Laurent Buisson is a polytechnicien and a water and forest engineer. He works on modeling avalanches during a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Grenoble and carries out five years of research at the Cemagref (National Center for Agricultural Machinery, Engineering rural and water resources. He is authorized to conduct research. In 1995, he joined the Ministry of Research and became Regional Delegate for Research and Technology (DRRT) in Alsace. In 2000, he left for the United States as a scientist in the French Embassy. He will remain there three years. From 2003 to 2008, he was Head of Innovation and Regional Action at the Ministry of Research. In particular, it dealt with issues related to business research and development (research tax credit), the creation of innovative technology companies, the transfer and diffusion of technology, and regional research policy (DRRT networks, project contracts State-Region ...) He joined UPMC in October 2008 as Deputy Director-General for Research and Technology Transfer. He then became vice president of resources and resources for the university from 2012 to 2016.
