Biography
Serge Uzan University professor - hospital practitioner (PU-PH) has completed his medical course at the Pierre et Marie Curie University. He is an in-house counselor at the Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and then head of the clinic. He is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine Pierre and Marie Curie and a surgeon at AP-HP. Her main area of ​​practice is oncology especially breast cancer. He was dean of the faculty of medicine Saint-Antoine in 2002 and then participated in the rapprochement of this one with that of the Pitié-Salpêtrière to train the faculty of medicine of the UPMC. He became the dean of 2005 and 2015. He has been heavily involved in the structuring of medical activities within UPMC by participating in the setting up of various institutes: Institute of Vision, IHU A ICM of Neurosciences, IHU ICAN of Cardio Metabolism, Institute of Longevity . He has created and managed the Pierre et Marie Curie University Institute of Cancer (IUC) since 2012. Serge Uzan participated in the expansion of the university's fields of training, particularly in the context of the universalization of paramedical professions. For example, 12 nursing training institutes are attached to UPMC. He worked on the emergence of the UPMC Institute for Health Engineering. He has been Vice-President Health of the University since 2015.
