Biography
Dr Thivel is Associate Professor in Pediatric Exercise Physiology and Human Nutrition at Clermont Auvergne University (France). He has completed his PhD from the French National Institute for Nutrition Research and Laboratory of Exercise Biology in Clermont-Ferrand (France). He held a first postdoctoral position at the Columbia University (Faculty of Medicine, USA) and a second one at the Canadian Children Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Ottawa, Canada). The Dr Thivel is a member of the European Childhood Obesity Group (ECOG) and lead the Caloris Research Group. He has published more than 70 papers in international journals and several book chapters.
