Biography
Julie Frearson leads Charles River Discovery’s effort in developing new partnerships within all life sciences sectors in USA and Asia Pacific and is also driving engagement with the marketplace via innovative business models. Julie has substantial experience in early-stage drug discovery across multiple gene families and therapeutic areas as a result of roles in The Babraham Institute (Cambridge, UK), Zeneca UK, BioFocus, and a faculty position at University of Dundee’s Drug Discovery Unit. She is a strong advocate of early translational drug discovery from academic concepts and has served as SULSA Director of Translational Biology for Scotland and on MRC and Wellcome Trust Committees. Dr. Frearson is co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed publications.
