Biography
Mike Egan is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of AMB Group, LLC, which is the holding company for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, PGA Tour Superstores and Mountain Sky Guest Ranch. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Mike provides executive oversight for the construction and development of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Prior to joining AMB Group in January 2015, Mike was for 25 years a partner in the Corporate Practice Group of King & Spalding and served as Co-Head of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. In that position, Mike acted as primary outside counsel to Arthur Blank and his businesses, including representing Mr. Blank in the acquisition of the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 and all negotiations with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority and the City of Atlanta for the development of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Mike also regularly represented numerous other leading companies (including GE, Home Depot, Sprint and UPS) in significant transactions. Mike serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta and as a member of the Honors College Board at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Mr. Egan received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1982 and clerked for former Chief Judge Elbert P. Tuttle on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate and Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
