Biography
Mr. Henkel served as Chairman of Ingersoll-Rand Company from February 2010 to June 2010, having been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from May 2000 to February 2010, President and Chief Executive Officer from October 1999 to May 2000 and President and Chief Operating Officer from April to October 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Henkel served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Textron, Inc. from 1998 to 1999, having been President of Textron Industrial Products from 1995 to 1998. He is also a director of 3M Company and Herc Holdings, Inc. Mr. Henkel has been a director of C. R. Bard, Inc. since April 2002. He is also a member of the Compensation Committee, the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Governance Committee.
