Biography
William Eckman has been Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of GEO since its inception in 1993 and is a co-founder of the Company. Prior to that time, Mr. Eckman was involved in acquisitions, joint venture development, product management and strategic planning for Exxon Chemical’s specialty chemical business in Latin America and Mexico. Mr. Eckman was also a corporate treasurer for Exxon Chemical Americas with responsibility for Latin America. He also served in the Controller’s department at Exxon Chemical’s Baton Rouge, Louisiana plant. Mr. Eckman was a founder and owner of Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals, S.A. and a director of certain of its affiliates. Mr. Eckman received a B.A. in Business Administration from Marian College and an M.B.A., majoring in International Business and Economics, from New York University. Mr. Eckman also pursued doctoral level studies in International Economics at the University of Paris.
