Michael R. Boyce

Biography

 Mr. Michael R. Boyce, also known as Mike, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pq Holdings Inc. since 2005. Mr. Boyce serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at The Peak Group and Peak Investments, LLC. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of PQ Corporation until May 2015 and also served as its President. Prior to April 1998, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Harris Chemical Group as well as the Chief Operating Officer of its operating units North American Salt Company, North American Chemical Company, Great Salt Lake Minerals Company and Harris Chemical Europe Ltd. He worked in that capacity from January 1990 to March 1998. he served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Dex Media, Inc. and R.H. Donnelley Inc. since October 2004. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Penrice Soda Products Pty. Ltd. in Australia. Before joining Harris Chemical Group, he worked with General Chemical, where he spent two years as Vice President and General Manager of its Industrial Chemicals Division. He served as the President of Catalyst Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum Company which manufactures polypropylene and polyethylene polymerization catalysts. From 1983 to 1986, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Sylvachem Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCM Corporation, a company active in specialty chemicals. In his career, he was with Union Carbide, where he held a variety of positions in business management, sales & marketing and manufacturing. He has been the Chairman of PQ Group Holdings Inc. since 2005. He serves as the Chairman of PQ Corporation and Potters Industries LLC. He has been an Independent Director of AAR Corp. since August 02, 2005 and Stepan Company since 2010. He served as a Director of Unitog Company since 1998. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Penrice Soda Holdings Limited from August 30, 2004 to October 2007. A Graduate of West Virginia State with a BS in Chemistry, he also attended the University of Houston's Graduate School of Business and is a Graduate of Harvard University's Advanced Management Program
