Biography

Studied medicine in Regensburg and Würzburg, doctorate in medicine in 1995, then completed specialist training as a cardiac surgeon in 2003 in Regensburg. 2005 - 2006 guest professor at Nanyang University in Singapore. In 2005 founded EndoCor Inc. in Singapore for the development of autologous heart valve prostheses. From 2007 - 2008 at the German Heart Centre in Munich. In 2009 - 2016 founder and managing director of Transcatheter Technologies GmbH which develops novel catheter-based heart valve prostheses. Since 2016 partner of medifundo, an investment portal for life science.
