Sylvia Seignette

Biography

 Sylvia Seignette was at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Banking as Managing Director for banking in Germany and Austria, and had had that position since 2005. As from 2007 she had also been Group Senior Country Officer for the entire Crédit Agricole Group in Germany, consisting of eight companies: Amundi, CA CIB, CA-CI, Cheuvreux, CACEIS Bank Deutschland, Credit Plus Bank AG, Eurofactor AG and Newedge. Prior, she had worked until 2005 at the Bank of America as Managing Director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria and as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for German-speaking areas with the focus on mergers and acquisitions, equity and equity-linked and leasing and structured finance. Until 2002 Sylvia Seignette was Member of the Management Board at JP Morgan AG and its predecessor banks, Chase Manhattan Bank AG and Chemical Bank AG.    From 1978 to 1988 she worked in various business units of the bank. After being appointed to the Management Board she was responsible from 1989 for corporate customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy and as from 1994, the bank's foreign business. In 1998 she took on the management of the corporate customers and investment banking divisions. From 1973 to 1978 Ms Seignette worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia as Deputy Head of the Credit department, and from 1971 to 1973 as trainee at Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. She had started her career in 1969 at Hessische Landesbank. Sylvia Seignette is a certified banker and holds a diploma in wholesale and foreign trades.
