Dipak Ghose

Biography

Mr. Ghose has been a Managing Consultant in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt Ltd since 2006. His area of work includes Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls and Compliance framework including legal requirements. He has been actively involved in the setting up and maintenance of Centre for Corporate Governance of Deloitte in India and also co-authored a maturity model for corporate governance considering Indian (Clause-49, MCA Guidelines) and global best practices. Dipak Ghose is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a Masters in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. He started his career with Price Waterhouse and moved to the Industry thereafter. He has had a long stint with Tata Steel in various capacities in Finance, Accounts and Commercial serving in various roles including the Chief Financial Officer. He later served as Chief Audit and Risk Officer at Tata Chemicals. He also works as an independent practicing Chartered Accountant. Mr. Ghose has presented many papers on Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Internal Control and Internal Audit at international and national forums. He is a regular speaker at conferences organized by Eurofinance (event management group of The Economist), ICAI, and IIA etc. He is the course Director for the certification course on Enterprise Risk Management organized by ICAI in Mumbai. He was a former member of Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of ICAI and past president of the Institute of Internal Auditors of India, Mumbai Chapter and Rotary Club, Inner City, Calcutta.
