Biography
Mohammad Naraghi has spent almost his entire professional life in various international management positions in the healthcare and life sciences industry. From 2013 until 2015, he was CEO Germany of the SYNLAB Group (Augsburg), Europe’s leading laboratory services provider. Before that as IBM’s Global Leader Healthcare and Life Sciences operating out of NYC headquarters, he was responsible for IBM’s global business services with pharma, medtech, biotech and healthcare customers. Prior to that, he was member of the Executive Board of the publicly listed Dutch pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer MEDIQ (Utrecht) running the US and part of the European business, and CEO of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics (LA), the diagnostics business unit of Siemens Healthcare which he managed building through acquisitions of Diagnostic Products Corporations and the diagnostics business of Bayer Healthcare. Mr Naraghi studied Medicine, Mathematics and Computational Neurosciences in Aachen, Bonn, Vienna, Pasadena and graduated with distinction with degrees MD (Dr. med.), PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) and MSc, respectively. He acquired practical clinical experience in cardiology and heart surgery before joining the consulting firm McKinsey & Company and working on strategy, operations and organization.
