Jeffrey A. Whitnell

Biography

Jeffrey Whitnell is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of finance and accounting experience. Mr. Whitnell brings an extensive background in raising capital and negotiating corporate financial transactions in the biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Finance and Controller for LifeWatch Services. He has also served in executive finance roles with private equity backed healthcare companies (Ovation Pharmaceuticals and ReliefBand Medical Technologies) and publicly traded healthcare companies. Mr. Whitnell was the CFO for Akorn (NASDAQ: AKRX) and the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for MediChem Life Sciences (NASDAQ: DCGN). He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Whitnell is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
