Biography
Thomas Riechert is Professor for Information Systems and Data Management at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur - HTWK Leipzig). From 2002 to 2014 he worked as scientific assistant at University of Leipzig, at the Business Information Systems chair. Together with Sören Auer, Sebastian Tramp und Jens Lehmann, he founded the research group Agile Knowledge Engineering and Semantic Web (AKSW) in 2006 and realized own funded research projects. Thomas Riechert's main research fields are software and knowledge engineering, the Semantic Web and Linked Open Data Web. In 2012 he finished his doctorate with at the University of Leipzig on "A methodology for Agile and Collaborative Requirements Engineering". Currently he is working on the development of a scientific method for research on online available and distributed research databases, within the project "Professorial Career Patterns of the Early Modern History" funded by DFG from 2017 till 2020.
