Biography

Thomas Biesgen received his MD at Heidelberg University 2000 and after his training in world-known departments (e.g. UCLA, Los Angeles, University Bordeaux, Paris, Munich, Toronto), he passed the board exams 2007 in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in Munich. During the last years, he has gained extraordinary experiences in different countries and he sub-specialized in hand surgery, reconstruction of the upper limb/reconstructive microsurgery, including breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery, finally as Consultant at the University Hospital Cambridge, UK and University Hospital BG Tübingen in Germany. From January 2015, he become Head of the Department in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Mutterhaus Trier, University Mainz, Germany. He has authored many national and international lectures as invited speaker and lectured at top-ranked international universities.
