Biography
Mr. Dieter Peters, Ph.D. has been an Executive Vice President of Global Product Supply at Grünenthal GmbH since October 2011. Since 2009, Mr. Peters served as Senior Vice President of Global Industrial Operations at Grünenthal and was responsible for global production, quality management, procurement and engineering. After his teaching activities as Scientific Assistant, Mr. Peters started his industrial carrier at Hoechst AG in 1986. After several assignments in R&D, production and for the board of directors, he served as a Member of the Business Unit “Organic Chemicals” leadership team responsible for R&D and Quality Management. He transferred in 1996 to Celanese AG in Texas USA, where he managed several international projects and served as Site Director of the production plants Bay City, TX and Houston, TX. Since 2002, he served as General Manager of Grünenthal. He studied Chemistry at RWTH Aachen and received his PhD from the University of Dortmund in the area of solid state chemistry.
