Biography
Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, born in 1959, studied German, English and Japanese philology in Freiburg, Middlebury (VT, USA) and Zurich. She graduated with Dr. phil. at the University of Zurich. In 1985, she joined the Public Relations department of TRUMPF Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machine tools and laser technology. Afterwards, from 1988 to 1990, she worked for the TRUMPF Corporation in Japan. From 1992 to 2010, Dr. Leibinger-Kammüller took over the management of the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung GmbH. Since 2003, she has been a member of the Executive Board of the TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG and became the Chairwoman in 2005. She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer SE since 2010. Furthermore, Dr. Leibinger-Kammüller is a member of the Supervisory Boards of Siemens AG and Voith GmbH. Dr. Leibinger-Kammüller also takes honorary functions in the scientific, cultural and social sector, such as being a member in the Senate of the Max Planck Society and in the Committee of the Association of Foundations (Stifterverband).
