Biography
Karlheinz Schmelig is Managing Partner at Creathor Venture focusing on life sciences and healthtech investments. He has a broad background in private equity and venture capital and has been working in the industry for over 15 years. Before joining Creathor Venture, Karlheinz Schmelig worked as an investment director at various VC firms. Prior to his venture capital career he worked successfully for over ten years in a number of global management positions in the healthcare industry at Boehringer Mannheim and F. Hoffmann-La Roche. Karlheinz Schmelig studied business in Mannheim and holds a MBA from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
