Biography
Dr. Jürgen Hambrecht serves as the Chairman of Board of Managing Directors at INEOS Styrolution Group GmbH (alternative name Styrolution Group GmbH). Dr. Hambrecht served as the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at BASF SE (formerly, Basf AG) from May 6, 2003 to May 6, 2011 and served as Chief Compliance Officer until May 6, 2011. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at BASF SE. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors at Styrolution Group GmbH. He served as the Head of Research and Purchasing at Lacke und Farben AG, Munster, Gemany (now BASF Coatings AG) since 1985, President of Engineering Plastics Division since 1990 and President of East Asia Division since 1995. He joined BASF's Polymers Laboratory in 1976, responsible for polystyrene, styrenic copolymers and polyphenylene ethers.
