Biography
Denise Schellemans was born in Niel, Belgium in 1961. She trained as medical-technical assistant at the University of the Province of Antwerp. From 1982 to 1985, she worked in cancer research at the University of Antwerp. Schellemans has worked at BASF Antwerpen since 1985, to 1994 in the medical service. In 1994, she was named a full-time trade union delegate. Since 1995, she has been a member of the local Works Council and in 1999 was named vice president of the BASF Euro Dialog (since April 2008 BASF Works Council Europe). Schellemans has been a member of the BASF Supervisory Board since January 14, 2008.
