Biography
Prof. Dr. François Diederich was born in Ettelbrück, Luxembourg in 1952 and studied chemistry at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He received his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Heidelberg in 1979, with habilitation conferred in 1985. Since 1992, Diederich has been a full professor of organic chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
