Biography
Ralf-Gerd Bastian was born in Zweibrücken, Germany in 1956. He trained as a chemical lab technician at BASF AG (since January 14, 2008 BASF SE) from 1973 to 1976. From 1976 to 1990, he worked in polymer research. Since 1990, he has been a full-time member of the Works Council at the Ludwigshafen site.
