Biography
He was born in 1956. After completing his vocational training in industrial business management, Elmar König graduated from the University of Saarbrücken with a degree in business administration. In 1984 he became a partner and branch manager of Data Service Computer Vertriebs-GmbH, a computer sales company in Kaiserslautern and Saarbrücken. From 1989 he served as a partner and the managing director of CompuNet Saarbrücken GmbH before joining CompuNet Hamburg GmbH (later Computacenter) in the same capacity in 1993. In April 2005 Mr König became the managing director of Bechtle’s IT system house in Hamburg. He was appointed Executive Vice President for the North-Eastern Region in March 2009.
