Biography
He was born in 1968. Mr Schmidt began his career at HP Germany after completing his BA in economics and business administration. After holding various positions, including that of IT manager at a Flextronics subsidiary, Mr Schmidt was employed as IT manager at Philips Böblingen, only to later assume responsibility for the regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland at their Hamburg branch. As former Member of the Executive Board of AMARAS AG, Mr Schmidt came to Bechtle through the acquisition of this company in 2014. Here, he continued to serve as Member of the Executive Board, as well as Interim Managing Director at one of Bechtle's Swiss companies. On 1 October 2016, Mr Schmidt was appointed to and now serves as Executive Vice President for Bechtle Managed Services.
