Biography
Dr. Stephan Hellwig is co-founder and COO of Pharmedartis. He holds a diploma in biology and a Ph. D. in molecular biotechnology. He is an employee of the Fraunhofer IME since 2000 and has been involved in the creation of the Integrated Production Platforms department and in the realization of a multi-purpose GMP facility.
Research Interest
His sound expertise in the production of recombinant proteins includes work with bacterial, yeast as well as plant and mammalian cell culture based expression systems. He is experienced in the design of fermentation processes ranging from simple batch fermentations to the development of sophisticated perfusion cultures.
