Biography
Peter C. Vollhardt is Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of California at Berkeley, Senior Principal Investigator at the Chemical Science Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Assistant Dean to the College of Chemistry. As one of the world's foremost organic chemists, he received many renowned, outstanding scientific awards. Professor Vollhardt has more than 35 years of experience in the application of transition metals to enable the synthesis of complex natural and unnatural products. His outstanding scientific work led to over 265 scientific papers. In addition he authored the standard college textbook on organic chemistry and serves as Chief Editor for the journal Synlett.
