Biography
Martin joined BioCrea in 2010 as Chief Scientific Officer. He has wide-ranging experience of the development of innovative therapeutics, particularly in the neurosciences therapeutic area and ion channel target class. He was formerly Head of Electrophysiology in the Neurosciences Centre of Excellence for Drug Discovery at GSK and the leader of a GSK spinout company. He has an excellent track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary preclinical and clinical project teams to deliver drug candidates into early clinical development and has late-stage experience from contributions to the approval and launch of retigabine as a first-in-class treatment for epilepsy. Martin has extensive experience of licensing with multiple successful deals completed for pharma and biotech.
