Biography
Simon joined BioCrea in 2010 as EVP Chemistry & Development. He is an experienced program leader who has delivered multiple clinical candidates across CNS indications. He has a track record of initiating & driving innovative medicinal chemistry strategies across a wide range of molecular target classes. Simon was formerly an Assistant Director at GlaxoSmithKline where he led multidisciplinary project teams & medicinal chemistry groups from target identification through hit to lead discovery, lead optimisation, preclinical development and early clinical studies. Simon’s extensive experience encompasses targets for neurodegeneration, depression, schizophrenia, pain and cognition. Simon holds the Chair of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Sussex, UK
