Biography
Dr. Thomas Kronbach, also known as Tom, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of BioCrea GmbH. Dr. Kronbach served as Chief Scientific Officer of Biotie Therapies Corp. until 2010 and served as its Member of the Management Team from November 2008 to 2010. Dr. Kronbach served as the Chief Scientific Officer of elbion GmbH. Dr. Kronbach co-founded elbion NV (alternate name, Elbion AG) in 2002 and served as its Chief Scientific Officer and Member of Management Board. He served at the Biocenter of the University of Basle and The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA. Dr. Kronbach joined Gödecke-Parke Davis in Freiburg, Germany in 1990. He started his career in 1992 as Head of Biochemical Research at Arzneimittelwerk Dresden, where he also served as Head of Research and Development since 2000. He integrated molecular biology, chemistry and drug metabolism into his core competence together with all aspects of pharmaceutical research from drug discovery to clinical studies. He holds a PhD in chemistry from University of Tuebingen Germany.
