Biography
Michael Oed has more than 25 years of professional experience in design, development, manufacturing, clinical validation and national/international regulatory approval of in vitro diagnostic devices (IVDs). Since 2010, Michael acts as Vice President of Product Development and Quality Management Representative for BioNTech Diagnostics GmbH, Mainz (formerly Theracode GmbH). He has managed the certification of the company according international standards and directed the development and manufacturing of BioNTech’s Diagnostics GmbH first CE-labeled IVDs. Before joining BioNTech Diagnostics GmbH, Michael served for seven years as Director Development and Production for mtm laboratories AG, a privately held ISO 9001/13485 certified company, based in Heidelberg. Prior to that, he held several management positions at Byk-Sangtec Diagnostica, Dietzenbach (now DiaSorin S.p.A.).
