Biography
Ralf Thiericke is managing director of the “Gesellschaft für Technologieförderung Itzehoe mbH“. He studied chemistry at the University of Göttingen. After his Ph.D. degree on natural products he moved to the general pharmaceutical research department at Hoechst AG and was appointed head of department at the Hans-Knöll Institute for Natural Product Research in 1994, later starting as founder and Managing Director of CyBio Screening GmbH in 2000. Until September 2006 he acted as speaker of the cluster Biotechnology – Life Science in Central Germany. He holds a professorship for Organic Chemistry at the University of Jena.
