Biography
Prof. Dr. med. Ralf Gold, is the Director of the Clinic for Neurology in the St. Josef-Hospital Bochum, (University Clinic of the Ruhr University Bochum) has been elected by the members of the German Society for Neurology (DGN) in Munich as the new Chair. He follows Prof. Dr. Martin Grond from Siegen, who will automatically change to be the Deputy Chair at the beginning of the year. The DGN represents more than 7500 doctors of neurology in Germany. He took up office in January 2015. The Dean of Research at the Ruhr University Bochum is known throughout the world as a leading multiple sclerosis researcher and is very active as a scientist. He is also a member of the neuro-science group in the German Research Foundation and is a member of the board of the KKNMS research network.
