Biography
Dr. Michael Hamacher is CEO of Affectis since 2014. At the same time, he is Head of Finance & Administration at the Lead Discovery Center GmbH, Dortmund. Thus, he has extensive experience in managing drug discovery projects as well as company structures. Before moving to the LDC in 2008, he was at the Medizinisches Proteom-Center of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, in the same position, implementing the Human Brain Proteome Project (HBPP) in the Human Proteome Organisation (HUPO) among others. Michael made his PhD in Biology in 2003 and is (co-)author of more than 35 peer-reviewed articles and editor of three books. Affectis is working closely together with the Lead Discovery Center GmbH to further advance its core asset AFC-5128.
