Biography
Valdis Martinsons is Chief Operating Officer, Independent Director of Environmental Waste International Inc. Valdis has been a Director of EWS since 2009 and Chief Operating Officer since January 2012. As COO he led the engineering efforts in the development of the Sault Ste. Marie facility. He has a track record of success in providing senior executive leadership in start-ups, high growth ventures, and global organizations. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Research In Motion Limited and was responsible for all Blackberry Operations and RIM facilities worldwide, among other jobs. He also served as the Chief Information Officer of Virgin Mobile Canada and was responsible for all aspects of service delivery and technical infrastructure. He is currently CEO of XRomb,Inc. Valdis holds P.Eng., B.A.Sc.,M.A.Sc., and M.B.A degrees, all from University of Toronto.
