Biography

Born in 1953 1972-1979 Studied German Philology and Political Science at the universities of Tübingen and Munich. Guest student at the London School of Economics. 1979-1982 Research assistant and adjunct lecturer at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Tübingen. 1982-1984 Research assistant and adjunct lecturer at the Institute of Political Science at TU Darmstadt 1984-1992 Positions in political adult education and political consultancy. Latterly, Director of the Gustav-Heinemann Akademie Freudenberg/Siegen with a teaching post at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Tübingen Since 1992 Professor at the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at Fulda University. Since 2000 holder of the ad personam Jean Monnet Chair of European Integration
