Biography
Birgit Becker is a professor of sociology with an emphasis on empirical education at the Institute of Sociology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and a member of the Center for Individual Development and Adaptive Education of Children at Risk (IDeA) External Fellow at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES). Birgit Becker studied social sciences at the University of Mannheim from 1998 to 2003 (graduated as a social scientist in 2003)
Research Interest
Her research interests are educational equality and educational decisions, early childhood and socialization, as well as migration and integration.
