Biography
Matthias Kloft, born in Bonn in 1959, studied Catholic theology and Oriental Studies in Bonn and Frankfurt am Main from 1978-1983. After the pastoral training and priestly ordination for the bishopric of Limburg, he completed a doctorate in Catholic theology and middle and modern history at the University of Münster in 1988-1992, where he gave his dissertation "Oratores vestri monent" (The Bishop's Office) of the Carolingian Empire in the mirror of legal and theological texts ". As a cathedral chaplain to St. Bartholomew in Frankfurt am Main (1992-1995), he was involved in the preparation of the Frankfurt Council and City Jubilee 1994 in the bishopric order. From 1995 to 2014 pastor of the Herz Jesu-Gemeinde in Frankfurt-Eckenheim.
