Biography
Prof. Dr. Silke Voigt born on February 5th 1966, in Berlin, Germany Professional Education 2005 Habilitation at t:he Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Cologne. 1995 PhD at the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology. 1990 Diploma in Geology, Freiberg University of Mining and Technology. 1985-1990 Study of Geosciences at Freiberg University of Mining and Technology .
Research Interest
Mesozoic and Cenozoic Palaeoceanography and Palaeoclimate ( Fact Sheet Maastricht , Kazakhstan Fact Sheet ) Integrated Stratigraphy (Bio- and Chemostratigraphy, time series analysis, shelf-ocean correlation) Sedimentology and geochemistry of shelf-sea deposits. Hydrography and sea-level changes in ancient shelf seas. Diagenesis of sedimentary rocks and biogenic skeletons.
