Biography
Carsten Schröder is Head of the "Applied Panel Analysis" at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), Berlin, and jointly appointed professor of economics with an emphasis on empirical economic research at the Institute of Economics at Freie Universität (FU) Berlin. Previously, he was a research associate at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, where he also completed his doctorate, as well as at Freie Universität Berlin. He studied at the Catholic University of Leuven, the Université Montesquieu Bordeaux, the DIW Berlin, the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
