Biography
Emanuel Gasteiger is Junior Professor at the School of Business and Economics at Freie Universität Berlin since the fall term 2015/16. Emanuel studied economics at the LMU Munich and later on at the University of Vienna, where he obtained his PhD in economics. He is a research affiliate at the Centre for Dynamic Macroeconomic Analysis (CDMA) at the University of St Andrews and at BRU-IUL at the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL). Before joining Freie Universität Berlin he was Assistant Professor at the Business School of Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) in Portugal.
Research Interest
Emanuel’s research and teaching interests focus on the role of expectation formation in monetary and fiscal policy. Besides his theoretical work, Emanuel investigates topics in empirical macroeconomics. His research has been published in the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.
