Biography
Rainer H. Müller studied and promoted in pharmacy in Kiel. He then spent five years at the universities of Nottingham and Paris-South in nanotechnology. Since 1992 he is Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at Freie Universität Berlin. Prof. Müller is co-inventor of lipid nanoparticles (SLN® and NLC® / Nanopearls®) and of nanocrystals (DissoCubes®, Nanopure®, smartCrystals®) and inventor of around 20 patents / patent applications. He founded the company PharmaSol GmbH in Berlin, which introduced these nanosystems into the market. Its developments were honored, among other things, with the Innovationspreis Berlin-Brandenburg 2008.
